Garden Produce

Okay, I promised pictures of garden produce, so here they are.

The pumpkin on top is a New England Sugar Pie Pumpkin.  I’ve already made pumpkin bread. 😉

The pumpkin/squash below it is a mystery.  It was supposed to be a bush buttercup squash.  But it isn’t.  Not sure what it is, so I’ve sent this picture to Rare Seeds.  They will have a horticulturist look at it along with the description and let me know. The buttercup squash was only supposed to be 3-4 pounds.   This is about 15-20 pounds.  Trust me, I’m not complaining. 🙂

If you look closely in this picture, you will see RED tomatoes.  Yay!  I’ve already made one batch of pizza sauce.  It was so yummy, that I ate a cup full just by itself.

Yes, I know I’m weird. 😀

I just finished skyping with my wonderful nephew, who has set up a way for me to watch my niece’s wedding tomorrow morning through Skype.  I love technology.  And I’m so thankful to be able to watch the wedding – even from 1182 miles away. (Gee, that distance is a bit depressing….)

I do wish I could be there.  Not just to watch my niece get married in person (of course I would probably be crying all over everyone), but my dad and Uncle Bob are performing the ceremony together.  And Cousin Jerry is playing the piano. I have a feeling that both the wedding and the reception are going to be a real hoot!  I do come by my orneriness honestly…
